Enhance your outdoor space with our premium French Oak Sleepers, crafted from Quercus robur—a hardwood renowned for its strength, longevity, and timeless appearance. These prime grade oak sleepers offer exceptional durability, making them ideal for a wide range of landscaping and garden projects.

Perfect for:

  • Raised beds
  • Garden borders and edging
  • Retaining walls
  • Steps, pathways, and features
  • Structural landscaping work

French oak sleepers are highly valued for their robust performance and natural beauty, providing a long-lasting and sustainable solution for outdoor construction.

Natural, Unique Appearance

As a natural product, each sleeper is completely unique, with its own individual character. You can expect:

  • Natural splits, knots and grain variation
  • Uneven edges and minor surface irregularities
  • Colour variation, which will evolve over time

Over time, the oak will naturally weather to an attractive silver-grey tone, enhancing its rustic charm. These features are not defects—they are a hallmark of genuine oak and are highly sought after in landscaping projects.

Fresh Sawn – Authentic & Untreated

Our oak sleepers are supplied fresh sawn, meaning:

  • Not kiln dried
  • Not planed
  • Rough sawn finish for a traditional look

Due to this:

  • Dimensions can vary by approximately ±5–10mm
  • The timber may shrink, twist or develop surface cracks during the natural drying process

This is entirely normal for unseasoned oak and does not affect its structural integrity. When installing, we recommend allowing for slight movement and dimensional change as the timber acclimatises.
