Ash Bowl Blank

Uses: Cabinet work, interior joinery. All species used in plywood manufacture and selected logs sliced into decorative veneers for furniture and panelling. American Ash is also used in flooring, millwork, boxes/crates, baseball bats and other turned objects such as tool handles. It is good for steam bending and is predominantly used for interior furnishings, joinery, and sporting goods.

General Description: Greyish-brown in colour and slightly darker than the other species. Generally straight grained and coarse but even textured. weighs 670 kg/m3 (35 lb/ft3); specific gravity is .56.
