Black American Walnut Slabs – 280mm & 330mm wide

A striking pair of Black American Walnut slabs, selected for their rich colour, bold grain and impressive width. Both boards exceed 280mm wide, making them ideal for statement furniture pieces such as dining tables, desks, shelving or feature joinery.

Board A
Board A displays classic Black Walnut character with deep chocolate tones and flowing grain. There is a natural split running through a knot on one edge, a feature typical of wide, kiln-dried hardwoods of this calibre. The board also contains areas of sapwood, which is entirely normal for wide American Black Walnut and can be embraced as a contrasting design feature or trimmed out depending on the project.

Board B
Board B offers similarly strong colour and grain definition, with some natural wane along one edge. This provides excellent creative flexibility—retain the waned edge for a more organic, live-edge look, or trim back for a clean, straight finish. As with Board A, sapwood is present, which is common and expected in wide Black American Walnut boards.
