European Oak Character Grade Square Edge Kiln Dried Strips

Our European Oak Character Grade Square Edge Strips are kiln dried and carefully selected to provide stability, consistency, and the authentic character expected from high‑quality European oak. This grade celebrates the timber’s natural features, including grain variation, knots, colour movement, and occasional mineral markings, making it ideal for joinery, furniture making, interior detailing, and bespoke projects.

Available in a wide range of widths from 140mm up to 320mm, these square‑edged strips suit both contemporary and traditional designs. Wider widths may be available in limited quantities, so we recommend enquiring early if you require larger sizes.

Please note that photos shown are examples of the timber once it has been planed, giving an indication of colour, grain, and overall appearance. Supplied material may vary naturally, as expected with real oak.

We can also supply character grade European oak in alternative thicknesses and sizes to suit your project. In addition, we offer a range of bespoke machining options, including planing, profiling, and precision cutting. Please contact us with your requirements and our team will be happy to assist.

 Delivery Information

To help keep delivery costs down, we offer a free‑of‑charge cutting service to reduce board lengths to under 2.4 metres, allowing orders to be shipped via FedEx. You will see this option at checkout.

If you require lengths over 2.4 metres, delivery will need to be arranged via curtain‑sided lorries, with curbside delivery charges applicable.

Please note that you may face delivery surcharges or further length restrictions if you require delivery to the Scottish Highlands or Northern Ireland.
